Top 10 Restaurants in Cyprus with Sea Views
There's something almost ceremonial about dining by the Mediterranean Sea — a table close to the water, salt in the air, a glass of local Commandaria or Xynisteri wine, a plate of fresh fish or seafood. It's not just food; it's the context in which the taste changes together with the landscape.
Cyprus has one of the longest coastlines relative to surface area in the entire Mediterranean Sea — 782 kilometers of cliffs, bays, wide beaches, and hidden coves. Restaurants with sea views are therefore countless, but a good restaurant with a sea view — one where both variables (food and view) are top-notch — is a selection.
Our list includes ten establishments scattered along the coast, from western Latchi to eastern Protaras. Each with a different character, each with an authentic view — not a terrace separated from the sea by four lanes of traffic.
Western Coast — from Latchi to Paphos
1. Latchi Nautical Club Taverna (Latchi)
Latchi is a small fishing harbor on the western edge of Cyprus, near the entrance to Akamas Peninsula. Nautical Club Tavern is literally at the mooring buoys — you sit a meter from the water, watch the fishermen unload their catch, and know that what's on your plate was in the sea a few hours ago.
- Location: Latchi Harbor, Port, Polis Chrysochous
- Price: 18-35 EUR per main course
- Recommended dishes: Grilled barracuda (owner's catch), marinated octopus with olive oil and parsley, fish soup to drink
This isn't fine dining — plastic chairs, simple tables, cardboard tablecloths. But the freshness of the fish is absolute, and the view of Latchi Bay and the Troodos mountains in the background at sunset is one of the strongest landscapes in Cyprus. Eat as the fishermen do — with your hands.

2. Pelican Restaurant (Latchi)
Pelican is located a few dozen meters further along the Latchi promenade — more formal than Nautical Club, with a full menu, a selection of Cypriot wines, and service in English, German, and Russian.
- Location: Latchi Promenade
- Price: 16-32 EUR
- Recommended dishes: Seafood platter for two (calamari, prawns, mussels, fish of the day), grilled dorado with capers and lemon, salad with halloumi and watermelon
Reservations recommended from May to September, mandatory in July-August. The terrace overlooking the water is a must; request a table with a view when booking.
3. Kapparis Fish Restaurant (Paralimni)
Kapparis is a fishing village between Ayia Napa and Protaras — less touristy than either, but with authentic fishing taverns where locals eat.
- Location: Kapparis, between Paralimni and Protaras
- Price: 14-25 EUR
- Recommended dishes: Fish of the day grilled (price per weight — ask before ordering), calamari from a local boat, chipsik-feta (local snack: potato chips with crumbled feta cheese and oregano)
No English menu in older establishments — just walk in and look at what's in the refrigerated display case. The owner will show you the fish and tell you what's freshest. This is true Cypriot fishing — without embellishments.

4. Bedrock Inn (Ayia Napa, Cliff)
Bedrock Inn stands on a cliff overlooking Ayia Napa — it's not a restaurant by the beach, but overlooking the sea, on a rock, which gives a completely different viewing impression: a panorama of the deep sea and the dramatic coastline of eastern Cyprus.
- Location: Clifftop, Ayia Napa, east of the town
- Price: 16-30 EUR
- Recommended dishes: Grilled lufer (bluefish) in olive oil and garlic, Mediterranean meze for two, ice cream with local melonik (carob syrup and cream)
Evenings sometimes feature live music sessions here — ask when booking. The sunset view from the cliff is stunning — especially when the sun hides behind Cape Greco (Cape Greco).

Eastern Coast — Ayia Napa and Protaras
5. Sunrise Tavern (Protaras)
Sunrise Tavern in Protaras has two advantages: its location directly on Fig Tree Bay — one of the most beautiful beaches in Europe — and a menu focused on fresh fish. Fig Tree Bay is on the eastern side of the island, so the sun rises here, not sets — hence the name.
- Location: Fig Tree Bay, Protaras
- Price: 15-28 EUR
- Recommended dishes: Lobster Thermidor (upon request, price negotiable), grilled langoustines with butter and herbs, Cypriot salad with halloumi and cucumber
The view of Fig Tree Bay at dawn with coffee and toast is one of those things that stays in your memory from a vacation. The restaurant caters to both hotel guests in the surrounding resorts and external guests.

Practical Tips
Table with a view: Always request a "table with sea view" or "table on the terrace near water" when booking. Restaurants have different levels of terraces and not all have a view.
Reservation time: Sunset on the western side of Cyprus is around 7:30-8:15 PM (summer months). Reserving for 6:30-7:00 PM allows you to start dinner before sunset and eat in the ideal light.
Fish by weight: In many Cypriot restaurants, fish are served "by weight" — the price is given per 100g or per kilogram. Always ask about the weight before ordering to avoid a surprise on the bill.
Tips: It is customary to leave a 10% tip in Cypriot restaurants. In more elegant establishments and on terraces with views, 10-15%.
Seasonality: Some restaurants (especially in Latchi and Ayia Napa) are closed or operate with a limited menu from November to March. It is always worth checking before visiting in the low season.
Summary
Ten restaurants, ten different views of the same Mediterranean Sea — but each view has a different character. Latchi at sunset with fish from the boat. Fig Tree Bay at dawn with coffee and toast. A cliff in Ayia Napa with a panorama of the deep sea. Limassol Marina with yachts and wine.
