Apartments in Limassol with a pool — the best options for families and couples 2026

TL;DR

Limassol is the second-largest city in Cyprus and one of the most cosmopolitan resorts on the island. Aparthotels with a pool are the perfect solution for families for a longer stay and couples who want more space than a standard room offers.

Aparthotel in Limassol with a Pool — More Space, the Same Quality

Limassol is a city that doesn't fit into any tourist scheme. It's both a trading port and a financial center (lots of banking, a large expat community), a nightlife hub and charming wineries, a beachfront line with five-star resorts and backstreets with old tavernas. For tourists, it's a blessing and a challenge at the same time — where to stay to be close to everything, yet still have peace and quiet?

The answer, especially for families and couples planning a stay longer than five days, is aparthotels with a pool. Not villas (although we do have those in our offer on CyprusBooker — browse villas in Limassol), not traditional hotels, but something in between: the space of an apartment with a living room and kitchen, hotel service (cleaning, reception, concierge) and a pool available to all guests.

Why does this make sense? Because the Cypriot lifestyle involves a shared dinner prepared with local ingredients bought at the market, a siesta on the balcony, and going out for dinner around 8:30 PM. A standard hotel room doesn't lend itself to this — an apartment does.

Why is Limassol unique for aparthotels?

Here are a few facts that often surprise people:

  • The longest marina in the region — Limassol Marina is a benchmark for yachting throughout Cyprus; some aparthotels are literally located on the mooring quays
  • Wine from Keo and Sodap wineries — both are based in Limassol; a tasting tour is a classic
  • Polish expat community — Limassol has one of the largest Polish communities in Cyprus; Polish shops, Facebook groups, a Polish-speaking doctor — important for families with children
  • Access to Dasoudi and Governor's Beach — two completely different beaches: the first is urban and sandy, the second is dramatic, with white chalky cliffs 20 km to the east

Top aparthotels in Limassol with a pool

Alexander The Great Beach Hotel (Apartments)

Alexander The Great is a trusted brand in Limassol — a hotel and apartments jointly sharing Potamos Germasogeia beach. The apartments have fully equipped kitchens, a living room separated from the bedroom, and balconies with views of the sea or garden.

  • Location: Germasogeia, Potamos beach (eastern part of Limassol)
  • Price: from 130 EUR/night (2-person apartment, July)
  • For: families with children up to 12 years old; couples for a weekly stay

Two pools (one for children), a beach directly at the property, and a restaurant with a bar. The kitchen is fully equipped — induction hob, dishwasher, coffee maker. If you've come with two children and want to prepare your own breakfasts and dinners, this is possible.

Amathus Beach Hotel — Apartment Residences

Amathus Residences is the apartment segment of one of the most well-known hotels in Limassol. Unlike standard hotel rooms, the Residences have separate living rooms, kitchenettes, and larger terraces.

  • Location: Eastern beachfront of Limassol, at Amathus Beach Hotel
  • Price: from 200 EUR/night (1-bedroom residence, July)
  • For: families with children of all ages; guests seeking a prestigious location

Access to all the amenities of Amathus Beach Hotel — water park (seasonal), spa, five restaurants — while enjoying the independence of an apartment. This is one of the best compromises between private rental and hotel service available in Limassol.

Limassol Marina Residences

Marina Residences is a category in itself — luxurious apartments in a marina-front building, with access to a rooftop pool and views of the mooring yachts. Technically, this isn't an aparthotel in the classic sense, but hotel service and management by an operator create an identical effect.

  • Location: Limassol Marina, city center
  • Price: from 280 EUR/night (1-bedroom with marina view, July)
  • For: couples without children; business travel with a partner; honeymooners who prefer urban over beach

A rooftop pool with a panorama of the city, and a lively atmosphere. Good transport to the rest of the city (Bolt, taxis).

Western part (near the Castle and Dasoudi Beach)

  • A mediator between the historic center and the beach
  • Well-connected on both sides
  • Dasoudi Beach is a great urban beach with beach cafes

Aparthotel vs. Villa — What to Choose?

| Criterion | Aparthotel with a Pool | Private Villa with a Pool | |-----------|---------------------|--------------------------| | Pool privacy | Shared | Exclusively Yours | | Hotel service | Yes (daily cleaning, reception) | Partially (cleaning every 2-3 days) | | Price per person | Lower | Higher (but spread across a group) | | Flexibility | Less | More (you can cook, grill) | | Minimum stay | Usually 2-3 nights | Usually 5-7 nights | | Beach location | Often beachfront | Varied |

For a family of 2+2 for a week — an aparthotel wins on price and the convenience of service. For a group of 6-8 people for 10 days — a villa with a private pool is more economical and offers more freedom.

Practical Tips for Aparthotels in Limassol

Kitchen — what to buy locally: Limassol Market (Agora) open in the morning until about 1:00 PM, from Tuesday to Saturday. Halloumi cheese produced locally, olives in herbs, local wine (we recommend domaine Zambartas or Vlassides) and fresh vegetables. Shopping for 3-4 days costs no more than 40-50 EUR for a 4-person family.

Transportation in Limassol: Public transport by bus is possible, but not the most convenient for tourists with luggage and children. Bolt operates efficiently, taxis are available. Car rental is recommended if you plan to visit Troodos or Paphos.

Parking: Most aparthotels have parking included or for a symbolic fee (5-10 EUR/day). Parking is more difficult in the city center — it's worth checking this before booking.

Air conditioning: All tourist-class aparthotels have air conditioning as standard. This is an absolute necessity on Cyprus from May to October. However, check if it is only switched on for 8-12 hours a day (older properties save electricity) or without restrictions.

When to Book?

Limassol is popular all year round — even in winter, as the city lives its own rhythm, not a typical seasonal resort. July-August is the peak, prices are 50-80% higher than in May. October is a golden compromise — the sea is warm (25-26°C), prices are still seasonal, but the crowds have already subsided.

Aparthotels usually have a minimum stay policy in August (5-7 nights). If you are only planning 3 nights, check availability in advance.

Summary

Limassol is one of those Cypriot cities that you grow to love the longer you stay. An aparthotel with a pool gives you the space — literally and figuratively. You can have a quiet morning with coffee on the balcony, a dinner with products from the local market, and an evening at one of the beachfront promenades.
